Meet Dr. Zainab Contractor


Dr. Contractor, a native of Pakistan, serves as the founder and CEO of Cincinnati Functional Neurology. Her medical journey began with graduation from medical school, followed by a Neurology residency at Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New York, and a subsequent Neurophysiology fellowship at Rush Medical Center in Chicago.


Following her board certification in Headache Medicine, Dr. Contractor embarked on a career at Mercy Health System, pioneering Cincinnati's inaugural Adult Headache Center. Her exceptional skills were soon recognized, leading to her recruitment to establish TriHealth system's headache center.


In alignment with her dedicated Mission and Philosophy, she established Cincinnati Functional Neurology, a place where she artfully amalgamates her knowledge of modern, alternative, and functional medicine to curate a one-of-a-kind, personalized, and all-encompassing treatment plan for each patient.


Dr. Contractor’s unwavering dedication to her patients shines through her continuous pursuit of knowledge in neurology and functional medicine. She holds memberships in esteemed organizations such as the American Academy of Neurology, American Headache Society, and the International Headache Society. Additionally, her expertise in functional medicine is enriched by her ongoing learning with Kharrazian Institute Functional Medicine Clinical Training Program, Kharrazian Institute Clinical Mastership Program, and the Institute of Functional Medicine.
